(the single ticket question)

Welcome to another exciting series sponsored by the Concert Association of Valparaiso, Inc., Valparaiso, Indiana.  In keeping with our tradition of providing quality family entertainment by world renown artists at affordable prices, we are now offering you some of the music, drama and dance that befits the kickoff season for the new millennium.  And quite a variety that is!  Admission to these concerts is by season membership.  Your CAV ticket will also entitle you to attend concerts by our neighboring associations in Munster (now Lake Shore), LaPorte, Portage and Warsaw.

We encourage you to send in your membership application and check promptly ...preferably postmarked on or before August 1, 2017, so that you can benefit by our "Early Bird Special Discount."  Tell your friends and neighbors about this exciting offer.  We also encourage you to purchase student memberships for your family.

Season tickets / Single tickets - - -

"I only want to see this coming performance; why can't I just get a single ticket at the door?"
Sometimes you can!  But it will cost more, and it is subject to seating availability, and it will not allow you reciprocity privileges.  Not only that, but if there is just one more performance that you'll see, you will spend more money than if you'd bought a season ticket.  AND a season ticket will allow you to attend the Reciprocity functions as long as seating is available! (rarely a problem)

The sale of season tickets allows us to establish our budget for our coming season:  if we sell more tickets, we can contract for more talent.

(personal note:  My season ticket for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, sitting in the 10th row, side section, of the 1st Balcony costs me nearly $300 for eight concerts; plus I have to pay a $20 to $30 parking fee for each performance; plus I spend two hours travel time along with the cost.  AND there is no Reciprocity Benefit!
If I just go to see "Joe Schmoe and His Electric Bongo Drums" -- One concert, No reciprocity! -- I can guarantee you that I will spend more than the season ticket cost for Concert Ass'n. of Valparaiso, CAV,
A season subscription makes good, economic sense!.)
